CAPS Certified
The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) collaborated to design The Certified Aging-In-Place (CAPS) program. CAPS was developed to accommodate the needs of the aging population in the United States. Americans are living longer and enjoying more active lives than ever before. Many have worked their entire lives to live in dream homes. They do not want to be forced from their homes due to unforeseen, debilitating challenges that often occur later in life.

Blythe Construction is proud to be CAPS Certified. We are able to help homeowners make necessary changes to help adapt to changes in life while maintaining the comfort of the home currently enjoyed. Our goal is for every renovation project to become a seamless, beautiful complement to the home. We strive to make all additions flexible in use to accommodate the needs of all household members while adding elegance and value to the home.

Nearly everyone fits the mold of one who is Aging-In-Place. Some are without any urgent needs but want to be proactive and take necessary steps to allow many years of enjoyment in their homes. Blythe Construction is able to help identify possible areas of concern and can make the necessary changes to achieve a more universal design.

Others may be experiencing a chronic or progressive condition that is disrupting the activities of daily living and want to make the necessary changes to adapt their home to current needs. Blythe Construction will take the needed steps to adapt the home to accommodate current and future issues.

Many homeowners are cramped and need extra space to care for aging parents. This situation can be remedied with many possibilities. It may be time to finish a walk out basement to provide the private independent living experience the parents enjoy, but also allow them to be close to loved ones who can provide care as needed. It may be necessary to expand beyond the current boundaries of the home and add a room or suite. Blythe Construction will be there with the knowledge and experience it takes to get the job done right.

Unfortunately, others may have experienced an abrupt or traumatic change in their lives that has caused an immediate need before a return to the home is possible.

Blythe Construction can work with professional medical personnel to ensure that needed changes are beneficial to the homeowner. Time is of the essence when working for homeowners with these needs and we are ready to handle this situation. Blythe Construction will see the project through from start to finish. We take pride in the professionalism and quality of work we provide to our customers. We are prepared to make any and all necessary changes, in a timely fashion, to improve the quality and flexibility of your home.
